Vikt\u00f3ria Ferenc, MEP for Fidesz\u2013KDNP and member of the Patriots for Europe Group, in her speech, emphasized the importance of ensuring access to clean drinking water. She highlighted: \u201cClean drinking water is the foundation of human life, yet in the European Union, millions of citizens still lack access to safe drinking water. This is unacceptable in a community that has placed fundamental human rights at the heart of its values.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Vikt\u00f3ria Ferenc drew attention to the harmful effects of climate change, environmental pollution, and unsustainable agricultural practices, which are posing an ever more serious threat to Europe\u2019s water resources. &#8220;Water supply is an energy-intensive process, and the economic crisis affecting the industry as a result of misguided pro-war proposals from Brussels has only made access to drinking water more expensive. However, clean drinking water is not a luxury, but a fundamental human right!&#8221;, she stressed.<\/p>\n\n<p>The MEP cited Hungary as a positive example: \u201cHungary\u2019s Fundamental Law guarantees the right to health, and within that explicitly enshrines access to healthy drinking water as a fundamental right.
