One of its key components is the protection and enforcement of human rights, which fundamentally influences the success of the accession negotiations as a whole.<\/strong> <strong>Speaking on the matter during a plenary session of the European Parliament, Vikt\u00f3ria Ferenc, MEP of Fidesz\u2013KDNP and member of the Patriots for Europe Group emphasized that by reaching an agreement on the conditions for Ukraine\u2019s accession, Ukraine has made a formal commitment. Now is the time for them to prove it: to deliver tangible results instead of promises in the field of human rights, including the rights of national minorities. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The Hungarians of Transcarpathia expect concrete results, as over the past years we have already had more than enough painful promises that were never kept.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fidesz MEP of Transcarpathian origin pointed out: \u201cThe unlawful military mobilization practices that have seriously affected the lives of Hungarians in Transcarpathia, as well as the restrictions on minority rights, did not come to an end with the opening of the cluster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI therefore call on the European Commission to keep the fulfilment of these commitments under close review and ensure their effective implementation in practice,\u201d the MEP concluded her address.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>16 June 2026, Strasbourg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ukraine\u2019s accelerated accession process has officially begun with yesterday\u2019s announcement of the opening of the so-called first cluster.
