And while we were waiting for the ultimately disgraceful response, another human rights violation\u2014and, simultaneously, a tragedy\u2014affected the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia.<\/strong> <strong>It is outrageous how Brussels handles human and national minority rights violations when it comes to Ukraine. The Commission\u2019s response is disgraceful, turning a blind eye to human tragedies. We are witnessing the decline of EU standards. We must put an end to this indifference before further tragedies occur,\u201d the MEP emphasized.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cA member of our community, Zsolt Reb\u00e1n, was forcibly conscripted for military training despite a medical exemption confirming his serious heart condition, which proved fatal. His family and our community are mourning,\u201d the MEP of Transcarpathian origin highlighted regarding the latest tragic case.<\/p>\n\n<p>Vikt\u00f3ria Ferenc emphasized: \u201cIt is outrageous how the EU institutions handle human and national minority rights violations when it comes to Ukraine. The Commission\u2019s response is disgraceful, turning a blind eye to human tragedies. It only pays attention to human lives when it serves its geopolitical interests. Brussels is pushing for the accelerated EU accession of Ukraine and is determined to open the first cluster of accession negotiations at all costs. However, respect for human rights is an indispensable condition for opening this cluster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cWe are witnessing the decline of EU standards.
