By taking such decisions, you make communities invisible, disregard their concerns and the rights violations committed against them, and abandon them.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThis is also what is happening to national minorities in Ukraine, including the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia, whose rights continue to be restricted and who cannot rely on support from the Union\u201d, MEP of Transcarpathian origin added.<\/p>\n\n<p>Vikt\u00f3ria Ferenc stated: \u201cI sincerely regret that the European Parliament\u2019s human rights reports are increasingly drifting away from the Union\u2019s core values year after year. This report is yet another document driven by geopolitical interests and applying a double standard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThis selective protection undermines the credibility of the European Union. We can truly uphold human rights only if we guarantee the rights of all minorities equally, as required by the Copenhagen criteria.
